The contractual terms governing access to and use of Sports Global services and features.

Sports Global Terms of Use (Users/Fans)

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sports Global’s websites, apps, and services, including public league pages, fan accounts, and FanHub features (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1) Who we are

The Platform is operated by:

These Terms apply to fans/users. If you are a league, sponsor, or other business customer, your use may be governed by a separate agreement.

2) Eligibility and age

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform.

  • If you are under the age of majority in your country, you confirm you have permission from a parent/guardian to use the Platform.

  • We do not knowingly offer the Platform to children under 13.

3) Accounts and security

Some features require an account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information,

  • keep your login credentials secure,

  • notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4) Platform rules and your content

4.1 Community conduct

You must follow our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy (both form part of these Terms). You may not:

  • harass, threaten, or target others,

  • post hate speech or content that incites violence,

  • share illegal content,

  • share others’ personal information without permission (doxxing),

  • spam, scam, or manipulate engagement,

  • use the Platform to distribute malware or harmful code.

4.2 FanHub / user-generated content (“UGC”)

If the Platform allows you to post content (e.g., comments, posts, images, messages, reactions), you:

  • are solely responsible for what you post,

  • confirm you have all rights needed to post it,

  • must not upload content that infringes others’ rights (copyright/trademark), violates privacy, or breaks the law.

4.3 License you grant to Sports Global

You keep ownership of your UGC, but you grant Sports Global a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and create technical adaptations of your UGC only as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Platform (including showing your content to other users and in league contexts).

This license ends when you delete your content or account, except where:

  • content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it,

  • we must retain it for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or compliance reasons,

  • it has been anonymized or aggregated.

5) Moderation, enforcement, and reporting

We aim to keep the Platform safe and usable. We may (but are not obligated to):

  • remove or restrict content,

  • limit reach/visibility,

  • suspend or terminate accounts,

  • impose posting limits,

  • investigate reports and suspected abuse.

We can do this with or without notice where necessary for safety, security, or legal reasons.

5.1 Reports and repeat offenders

Users can report content and accounts. We may use reporting history and behavioral signals to detect repeated abuse. Repeated or severe violations may lead to escalating enforcement actions up to permanent bans.

5.2 Appeals

Where appropriate, we may allow appeals for moderation actions. Appeals are handled via support@sportsglobal.eu.

6) Copyright and takedowns

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright or other rights, contact support@sportsglobal.eu with:

  • your contact details,

  • a description of the work/rights infringed,

  • the link/location of the content,

  • any supporting information.

We may remove or restrict content while we review.

7) Sports data, accuracy, and availability

Sports data may come from leagues, officials, and third-party sources. While we aim for accuracy:

  • we do not guarantee that scores, lineups, times, standings, or other data will always be correct, complete, or up to date,

  • fixtures and results can change due to official decisions, corrections, postponements, or source updates.

The Platform may be unavailable at times due to maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances outside our control.

8) Ads and sponsored content

The Platform may display advertising and sponsored content (including Google AdSense and sponsor placements).

  • Ads may be contextual (based on the page/content you are viewing).

  • If we ever show personalized/interest-based ads, we will do so only in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (including consent where required).

  • We are not responsible for third-party advertiser sites, products, or services.

9) Prohibited technical use

You may not:

  • scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without permission,

  • bypass rate limits or access controls,

  • probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization,

  • reverse engineer or attempt to access the source code except as permitted by law,

  • use bots or automation to create accounts, post, or interact at scale without permission.

10) Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and features, is owned by Sports Global or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform unless we expressly allow it.

11) Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • you breach these Terms or related policies,

  • required by law,

  • necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, or to protect other users.

12) Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”

  • We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

  • Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sports Global and its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for:

  • indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages,

  • loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum allowed by law.

14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you (e.g., on the Platform). Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You agree that courts in South Africa will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
