SPORTS GLOBAL – PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Sports Global (Pty) Ltd (“Sports Global”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use Sports Global-powered league websites, apps, and related features (the “Platform”), including FanHub community features.

This policy applies to end users (fans, visitors, account holders). If you are a league or business customer, additional terms may apply under a separate agreement.

1) Who is responsible for your information

1.1 Sports Global as platform operator

Sports Global operates the Platform and is responsible for platform-level processing such as:

  • account creation and authentication,

  • platform security and abuse prevention,

  • platform analytics and performance monitoring,

  • customer support,

  • advertising delivery and measurement (where applicable),

  • core service delivery and product improvements.

1.2 League Tenants (leagues/competition operators)

Sports Global is a multi-tenant platform. The league or competition operator that manages a specific tenant site/app (“League Tenant”) may also process personal information for league-specific purposes (for example: league communications, moderation decisions, and competition administration).

Depending on how the League Tenant is configured:

  • Sports Global may act as an operator/service provider to the League for certain league-directed processing; and

  • The League may be separately responsible for its own processing decisions and communications.

Where reasonably practicable, the relevant League Tenant will be identifiable on that tenant and provide a way to contact the League.

5) How we share personal information

5.5 Sponsors and partners

We generally provide sponsors with aggregated reporting (for example: impressions, clicks, CTR, campaign performance).

We do not intentionally share direct personal identifiers with sponsors unless:

  • you explicitly consent, or

  • a specific feature requires it and we clearly disclose this to you.

6) User-generated content and public visibility

If you post content in FanHub or public areas, that content (and your username/profile) may be visible to others depending on your settings and the League Tenant configuration.

Please do not post personal information you don’t want others to see.

7) Cookies and similar technologies

The Platform may include advertising, including Google AdSense and sponsor placements.

9.1 Contextual vs personalised advertising

  • We may show contextual ads based on the page or content you are viewing.

Where required, we will obtain your consent before enabling personalised advertising cookies.

9.2 Third-party advertising providers

Third-party advertising providers (such as Google) may collect information via cookies or similar technologies when ads are shown. Their processing is governed by their own policies.

10) Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including legal, security, and operational needs.

Retention periods may vary depending on:
