SPORTS GLOBAL – COPYRIGHT & TAKEDOWN PROCESS

This Copyright & Takedown Process explains how Sports Global (Pty) Ltd (“Sports Global”, “we”, “us”) responds to copyright complaints and other rights-based takedown requests on the Sports Global Platform (the “Platform”), including FanHub user-generated content.

This process supports our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and Content Moderation Policy.

Contact for takedowns: support@sportsglobal.eu

1) What this process covers

You can use this process to report:

  • copyright infringement (e.g., unauthorised uploads of images, videos, text, or broadcasts),

  • trademark misuse (e.g., misleading use of brand names/logos in a way that infringes rights),

  • other rights-based claims (where applicable), such as certain privacy or publicity-rights complaints.

If your concern is about harassment, threats, or safety issues, use in-app reporting tools (where available) or contact support@sportsglobal.eu.

2) How to submit a takedown request

Email support@sportsglobal.eu with the subject line:

“Copyright/Takedown Request – [Your Name/Organisation]”

Include the following information so we can act quickly:

2.1 Your details

  • your full name (or authorised representative/organisation),

  • your email address and (optional) phone number,

  • your country.

2.2 The work and your rights

  • a description of the copyrighted work (or other right) you believe is infringed,

  • proof of ownership or authority to act (for example: a link to the original work, registration details if applicable, or an explanation of your relationship to the rights holder).

2.3 The infringing content location

  • the exact URL(s) or clear identifying details (username, post ID, screenshots),

  • enough detail for us to locate the content quickly.

2.4 Good-faith statement

Include a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.

2.5 Accuracy and authority statement

Include a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder (where applicable).

2.6 Signature

Your typed full name is acceptable as an electronic signature.

3) What happens after we receive a request

We may:

  • acknowledge receipt,

  • request additional information if needed,

  • remove, restrict, or disable access to the content while we review,

  • notify the user who posted the content (where appropriate).

We aim to review credible requests as quickly as possible, but response time depends on complexity and report volume.

4) Counter-notice / dispute (if you believe your content was removed incorrectly)

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake (for example, you have permission, a valid licence, or the use is lawful), you may submit a counter-notice to support@sportsglobal.eu.

Your counter-notice should include:

  • your account username/email,

  • the content that was removed (and where it was posted),

  • an explanation of why you believe removal was incorrect,

  • supporting evidence (e.g., licence, permission, original ownership),

  • a statement that you believe, in good faith, the removal was due to mistake or misidentification,

  • your typed name as signature.

We may restore content if appropriate, or maintain removal if we believe the claim is valid or required by law.

5) Repeat infringement and account actions

Sports Global may take account-level actions for repeated rights violations, including:

  • warnings,

  • feature restrictions,

  • suspensions,

  • permanent bans for repeated or severe infringement.

We may also act against attempts to evade enforcement (e.g., creating new accounts after a ban).

6) Limits and important notes

  • We do not provide legal advice.

  • We may decline to act on incomplete, abusive, or clearly unfounded requests.

  • We may preserve records related to takedown requests for legal, security, and compliance purposes.

  • In appropriate cases, we may share necessary details with the user who posted the content (for example, to allow them to understand and respond), except where restricted by law or safety concerns.
